Finally Updated!

I can't believe how long it has taken me to get around to the updating the blog. Well, actually I can believe it. The following posts are for the most part everything in a nutshell that has happened since the last post in July.

Jill.......... I promise I will try to be more like you and keep this updated :)
Stephanie............Stop your bickering, it's not like you always post on yours. Haha haha, Luv ya!

Pumpkin Picking

October was an exciting month. The twins turned 6 months old and by now they were rolling over like crazy.

This year again we went to Milky Farms to pick our pumpkins. Although the farm is about and hour and a half away it's well worth the trip. They have a hay ride that takes you out to the fields and a Creamery which has some really yummy ice cream (well, Nathan didn't think so but we will get to that later.)

Nate was more intrested in eating the vines and flowers.

Grandma was trying to console Courtney on the hayride.

Granddad with two pumpkins!

After finding the perfect pumpkin and looking at the baby farm animals we went the creamery for some yummy dessert. My mom and sat outside feeding the twins while Jeff and my dad went to get the goods. After Nate was done with his bottle my dad decided that he needed to try some ice cream (of while he was sitting on MY LAP!) Needless to say the whole bottle and more came shooting out the top end like a volcano all over him and of course my pants and shoes. Thanks dad :)

Virgina Beach & Colonial Willaimsburg

In August we joined my parents in Virginia Beach for a little vacation. It was definately a new and intresting experience having the kids on the beach for the first time. Their facial expressions were priceless!

The FamilyNate & Court

While we were in Virginia we decided to take a little day trip and go to Colonial Williamsburg. I think it is just amazaing how much history one place can hold. We spent the day walking around and got ot visit the blacksmith and the wig maker and eat lunch in of the towns taverns.
I think Jeff was a little shocked to see everyone dressed in period time pieces and talking as if they were living some hundreds of years ago.
We even learned a few little things from our lunch in the tavern.
  • You never ask for butter for your bread.
  • Silverware was not given to you with your meal, you used your bread as a spoon to eat the stew.
  • Those who were wealthy enough brought their own silverware to eat with.
